Ukrainian army recruiting center, the second in the region, was opened in Sumy

Today, the second recruiting center of the Ukrainian army in the region was opened in Sumy at 21 Britanska Street (Administrative Service Centrepremises).

Specially trained civilian recruiters will provide advice to citizens wishing to join the defense forces from 8am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4pm on Friday. All necessary information can also be obtained by phone: 096 4358911, 054 2701009, 054 2700063.

"Currently, there are 24 vacancies in our territorial defense brigade. This center will help staff it with professional people who will help the Armed Forces to carry out their tasks. And the most important thing is the opportunity for a civilian with his specialty to choose a path that will benefit the defense forces," deputy head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Serhiy Kropyvchenko said during the opening ceremony.

There are more than 10,000 vacancies in the recruiting centers database, including drivers, gunners, doctors, psychologists, clerks, grenade launcher and UAV operators. "Any person can get advice on the possibilities of the service. It is not only about the Armed Forces, but also about, for example, the Border Guards. The main thing is the desire of a person," said Acting Mayor Artem Kobzar.

According to Oleksiy Drozdenko, the head of the Sumy City Military Administration, the recruiting centers are aimed specifically at those citizens who have not yet decided and are thinking about joining the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "Such people will receive assistance at the centers throughout the process of joining the defense forces. And in case of any misunderstandings, they will be resolved quickly," he said.

Oleksiy Bezhevets, the Ministry of Defense's authorized representative for recruiting, stressed that today, at the critical stage of the war, people have a rare opportunity to choose a unit and position. "Don't wait, come, ask questions and join the defense forces. Today, the future of our country depends on you. Today is the time to choose your place in the defense forces!" he urged.

To remind you, on May 17, the first Ukrainian army recruiting facility in the Sumy region began operations in Shostka. It was opened at the Administrative Service Centre premises.
