Ukrainian and U.S. companies are collaborating on the modernization of Ukraine's air defense systems

Representatives from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, as well as Ukrainian and U.S. defense companies, discussed the advancement of cooperation on the modernization of Ukraine's air defense capabilities.
In particular, the discussion focused on the organization of repair works and the modification of certain Ukrainian air defense systems.
Brigadier General Serhii Baranov, Head of the Main Directorate for Missile Program Support, expressed hope that “Ukrainian and U.S. companies operating in this area will be able to enhance cooperation.”
During the meeting in Kyiv, the parties discussed the current progress of joint projects and the next steps for their implementation.
Ukrainian and U.S. companies are considering the possibility of repairing certain air defense systems currently in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Ukrainian territory, enabling their faster deployment after modernization.
