Ukraine seeks to establish to direct contracts with arms manufacturers, - Dmytro Klimenkov

The announcement from Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov came during a meeting with Scott Hicks, Vice President of Sales and Business Development, and Marc Essig, Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at EOS Defence Systems.

"Ukraine continues to work actively to modernise its defence capabilities and expand international cooperation. The transition to direct contracts with arms manufacturers will allow Ukraine to reduce its dependence on intermediaries and at the same time increase our defence capabilities," said Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov.

The discussion with EOS Defence Systems focused on defence technology cooperation and potential collaboration opportunities. In addition, the Australian side expressed a desire to localize production in Ukraine.

EOS Defence Systems, an Australian company, develops technologies for integrating weapon systems into various land and maritime platforms, including solutions for countering unmanned aerial vehicles and ground targets.

The Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine expressed his gratitude to Australia: "Your assistance is crucial for us in these difficult times. We appreciate the solidarity and support provided by the Australian people," added Dmytro Klimenkov.
