Ukraine's Minister of Defence held a meeting with the NSATU leadership, focusing on training, defense support, and the Future Force strategy
The Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, met with NSATU Deputy Commander Major General Hartmut Renk.
NSATU is a framework established within NATO to bolster NATO’s role in coordinating international military support and training for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As part of its visit to Ukraine, the NSATU delegation visited various military sites to assess the ongoing requirements of the Defence Forces.
The meeting focused on key areas of cooperation: the training and readiness of the Ukrainian military according to NATO standards, the provision of military assistance, and the development of the Ukrainian Defence Forces' capabilities within the scope of the Future Force strategy.
“NATO continues to strengthen its military cooperation with Ukraine. NSATU's mission is progressing rapidly, and it is essential that support be delivered promptly and in the necessary quantities. The establishment of the NSATU office in Ukraine will facilitate more effective execution implementation of joint initiatives,” emphasized Rustem Umerov.
The parties also addressed priorities for receiving international military aid and coordinated further joint actions.
