Ukraine’s Defence Minister announces launch of joint Ukrainian–Dutch drone production

The Netherlands announces a €250 million contribution to the PURL initiative

Today, the Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, and the Minister of Defence of the Netherlands, Ruben Brekelmans, signed an important agreement launching joint Ukrainian–Dutch drone production.

The signed agreement opens the way for the joint manufacture of Ukrainian unmanned systems in both Ukraine and the Netherlands.

“We continue to scale up the production of the best Ukrainian weaponry in cooperation with our partners,” stated Denys Shmyhal.

According to him, production will be shared between Ukraine and the Netherlands. The drones will be procured by the Dutch side and transferred to the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

On behalf of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal expressed gratitude to the Netherlands, as well as to Defence Minister Brekelmans, for the steadfast support.
