Ukraine presented the capabilities of its defense industry at a defense symposium in France

First Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Sergiy Boyev, participated in the ‘Rearmament Europe – Readiness 2030’ symposium in Paris.

The event, initiated by French Minister of the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu, was attended by 27 national armaments directors from EU member states, as well as from Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Norway, Albania, North Macedonia, and by representatives of the EU and NATO.

Each country presented up to three defense industry projects to be considered for funding under the European Union’s SAFE (Security Action for Europe) initiative, which has a total budget of €150 billion.

Ukraine showcased its defense industry projects, including UAV and ammunition production, as well as proposals in other critical areas such as missile systems and electronic warfare (EW).

“Over the past three years, Ukraine has scaled up its defense production from $1 billion to $35 billion. The Ukrainian defense industry has even greater potential but requires additional funding. Weapons produced in Ukraine have the potential to become Europe’s weapons in the long term,” said First Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Sergiy Boyev in his address to the symposium participants.

The Ukrainian representative also called on European partners to develop joint industrial projects. Sergiy Boyev emphasized that Ukraine is an integral part of Europe’s security architecture, and large-scale joint projects can ensure long-term strength and stability on the continent.
