Ukraine is set to receive 350 modern British-made air defence missiles, funded by revenue generated from frozen russian assets

The missiles will be used in specially designed British surface-to-air missile systems, five of which are set to be delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the near future.

The delivery is made possible through the ERA programme, which has already mobilised over £2 billion in revenue from frozen russian assets.

“This is an important mechanism of justice — when the aggressor country pays for the consequences of its own war,” emphasised Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov.

He expressed gratitude to the British partners for their steadfast support:

“I thank the Government of the United Kingdom, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Defence Secretary John Healey, and all our partners who continue to strengthen Ukraine’s air defence and help protect the lives of our citizens,” said Rustem Umerov.
