Ukraine and the Netherlands are strengthening cooperation in air defense and production of drones

Ukraine's Defence Minister, Rustem Umerov, held a bilateral meeting with Dutch Defence Minister, Ruben Brekelmans, following the meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group.
The core focus of the talks was the investment in joint military ventures, particularly the advancement of long-range drone production. The ministers thoroughly discussed steps to enhance the efficiency of this process and examined the most effective mechanisms for direct funding.
The parties also raised the topic of utilizing frozen russian assets to support the production of drone spare parts. This could become an effective tool for boosting Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
The Minister of Defence of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the Netherlands for their ongoing support.
“The partnership with the Netherlands has significantly enhanced Ukraine's defense capabilities. We extend our sincere thanks for this partnership and are dedicated to furthering its development,” said Rustem Umerov.
