Ukraine and Sweden discuss details of military assistance and defence industry cooperation

First Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Sergiy Boyev, held a phone call with Victoria Hjort Malmer, Defence Policy Director at the Ministry of Defence of Sweden.
One of the main topics of the talks was the content of security assistance packages and maximizing their delivery in 2025.
The parties also discussed cooperation on attracting investments to Ukraine’s defense industry and developing joint projects between Ukrainian and Swedish companies.
In turn, Victoria Malmer provided an update on the status of Swedish investments in Ukraine’s defense sector, particularly under the ‘Danish model.’
“The Ukrainian defense industry has practical experience in rapid scaling and advancement, which is why we are interested in its integration into the European ecosystem. Sweden’s support in this domain is vital for us,” noted First Deputy Minister of Defence Sergiy Boyev.
