Ukraine and Norway launch joint production of Ukrainian drones

Ukraine and Norway will jointly produce Ukrainian drones. The agreement on this was signed by Denys Shmyhal, Minister of Defence of Ukraine, and Tore O. Sandvik, Minister of Defence of Norway.
According to Denys Shmyhal, this important step will allow Ukraine to scale up its capabilities and strengthen the country’s defence.
The next phase will be to launch a pilot production line in 2026 and concurrently advance efforts to increase capacity.
“Ukraine will share its expertise and innovations with Norway. In return, we will secure a strong industrial platform that will equip our warriors with modern drones and enable research and development collaboration with Norway’s leading institutions,” said the Minister of Defence of Ukraine.
He expressed gratitude to the Norwegian partners for their support.
“This project exemplifies the cooperation we are developing with our partners — cooperation that enhances the defence capabilities of all nations of the free world,” concluded Denys Shmyhal.
