Ukraine and Montenegro discussed Euro-Atlantic integration and security collaboration

During the Munich Security Conference, Ukraine's Defence Minister Rustem Umerov held a meeting with Dragan Krapović, Minister of Defence of Montenegro.

The parties discussed the security situation in the regions and Europe overall, as well as matters related to Euro-Atlantic integration.

Particular attention was given to Montenegro's experience, as it became a NATO member in 2017. Minister Krapović expressed support for Ukraine's aspiration toward Euro-Atlantic integration.  

“Ukraine values the support of its allies and actively adopts their experience to maximize the effective use of resources in the fight for freedom,” Rustem Umerov said. 

The Minister of Defence of Ukraine thanked Dragan Krapović for the constructive dialog. The parties agreed to continue cooperation and strengthen ties in security and defense matters.
