Ukraine and Latvia will strengthen cooperation within the Drone Coalition

Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov met with Latvian Defence Minister Andris Sprūds during a working visit to Brussels, where meetings of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (Ramstein format) and the Ukraine–NATO Council are taking place.
The talks focused on advancing the Drone Coalition, with Latvia acting as one of the Coalition’s key leaders. The parties agreed on the next steps to enhance the effectiveness of this initiative.
Rustem Umerov emphasized the importance of unified action to achieve a just peace and to stop russian aggression. He also expressed gratitude to Latvia for its active engagement in all key initiatives aimed at supporting Ukraine.
“I extend my thanks to the Latvian Defence Minister for the substantive discussion, strategic vision, and unwavering support for our country,” stressed Rustem Umerov.
