Ukraine and Germany’s Defence Ministries agree on long-term partnership in digitalisation
The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has signed an additional agreement with Germany’s Federal Ministry of Defence on cooperation in defence-sector digitalisation for 2026–2028.
It provides for financial support of key projects such as DELTA, Army+, Reserve+, and other initiatives aimed at the digital transformation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“This agreement sends a clear signal that support for the digitalisation of the defence sector continues to grow. It confirms that our allies recognise that technology ensures a significant advantage on the battlefield. We are grateful to our partners for their long-term cooperation in the digitalisation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” emphasised Oksana Ferchuk, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation, and Digitalisation.
The strategic partnership defines the following key areas of cooperation:
- Support for the development, testing and technical maintenance of the Army+ and Reserve+ apps.
- Functionality enhancement, scaling, and protection of the DELTA combat system infrastructure.
- Expansion of the digital ecosystem: digitalisation of personnel, asset, and logistics management; the DOT-Chain Defence marketplace; the Armed Forces Medical Information System (MIS AFU); and other related initiatives.
- Enhancing cybersecurity capabilities, particularly through the expansion of the Ministry of Defence’s Cyber Incident Response Centre.
