Ukraine and Czechia discuss plans for cooperation on the ‘Czech Initiative’, drone programs, and joint defense industry projects

Sergiy Boyev and Anna Gvozdiar, Deputy Ministers of Defence of Ukraine, held a working meeting with a delegation from the Czech Ministry of Defence, headed by Deputy Minister Daniel Blažkovec.
A key topic of the meeting was the optimization of ammunition procurement and delivery under the ‘Czech Initiative.’ Aleš Vytečka, Director of the Intergovernmental Defense Cooperation Agency (AMOS) within the Czech Ministry of Defence, briefed the Ukrainian side on the relevant delivery schedules.
“russia continues to exert pressure along the front line, so the need for ammunition remains high,” emphasized Sergiy Boyev, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine.
The meeting also addressed the need to fund Ukraine’s defense industry and discussed prospects for joint projects with the Czech defense sector.
“Ukrainian companies are ready to produce millions of drones next year. However, funding is needed to fully leverage these capabilities,” said Anna Gvozdiar, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine.
