U.S. company Axon is ready to exchange expertise with Ukraine in countering UAVs

Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Sergiy Boyev held talks with the founder and CEO of the U.S. company Axon, Rick Smith, and the CEO of Dedrone by Axon, Aaditya Devarakonda.
Executives of the U.S. company Axon arrived in Kyiv with a proposal to cooperate with Ukrainian manufacturers and exchange expertise with Ukraine in the area of countering unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
“Ukraine faces serious challenges in countering hostile UAVs to protect the population. That is why we are most interested in electronic warfare technologies and interceptor drones. We are already working with Ukrainian companies to scale up production, but we continue to search for new solutions,” said Sergiy Boyev, Deputy Minister of Defence.
During the talks, the parties discussed the technical aspects of Ukraine’s requirements and possible terms of cooperation regarding the exchange of experience and information.
The American entrepreneurs emphasised that the world has much to learn from Ukraine in terms of the practical use of drones. As representatives of a large technology company, they are also interested in this experience.
“Our proposal today is not about business – it is about protecting people. We are inspired by Ukrainian service members and the technologies they employ, and it is an honor for us to work together and learn from this experience,” stated Rick Smith, CEO of the U.S. company Axon.
