U.S. approves potential sale of air munitions and related equipment to Ukraine worth $825 million
The U.S. Department of State has approved a potential $825 million sale of air munitions and related equipment to Ukraine through the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program.
The package includes 3,350 ERAM missiles and an equal number of embedded GPS/INS (EGI) navigation systems, each equipped with Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) protection.
“Procurement funding will be provided with the support of Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway through the PURL and JUMSTART programs. I am grateful to our partners,” said Denys Shmyhal, Minister of Defence of Ukraine.
He thanked the United States for this significant support, which enhances Ukraine’s capacity to defend its freedom and independence amid russia’s war of aggression.
