Twice as many new vehicle models for the Armed Forces: in the first six months, the Ministry of Defence codified 50 motor vehicles

In the first six months of 2025, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine codified and authorised for operational use approximately 50 new models of automotive equipment from Ukrainian manufacturers. This is twice as many as during the same period last year. This was reported by the MoD’s Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.

The newly codified vehicles include wheeled evacuation tractor units and semi-trailer trucks, trucks for transporting oversized cargo, all-terrain vehicles built on chassis for a wide range of applications, and wheeled platforms for logistics and other support services.

The modernisation and renewal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces vehicle fleet remains an important task for ensuring effective frontline logistics and troop mobility.

A reminder to defence equipment manufacturers: helpful information on the procedure for codifying new models of weapons and military equipment is available here.
