In Kyiv, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Oleksandr Balanutsa had a meeting with a delegation of the American NGO Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS).

Ukrainian military medics, who also participated in the meeting, elaborated on the specific challenges of warfare in Ukraine and how those influence the provision of first aid.
The deputy minister thanked the American delegation for assisting the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“The support you offer is facilitating Ukrainian warriors in obtaining the necessary skills to preserve their lives and the lives of their brothers-in-arm. This gives them a chance to continue to serve and defend the country from an unprovoked russian armed attack,” Balanutsa said.
Bonnie Carroll, founder and CEO of TAPS, assured of intention to continue supporting the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
During the meeting, the representatives of TAPS, including former and current military medical instructors and professional psychologists, exchanged their experiences with Ukrainian colleagues through real-life examples.
“We believe our cooperation will substantially strengthen the capabilities, skills, and resilience of your military,” said Bonnie Carroll.
