Total russian military losses on October 16, 2026: 1,950 personnel, 1,396 UAVs, and 24 artillery systems.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the estimated total russian war losses from 24.02.22 to 17.10.2026 inclusive are as follows

Personnel:

  • approximately 1 562 970 (+1 950) persons.

Armored vehicles and automotive equipment:

  • tanks ‒ 12 415 (+1);
  • armored fighting vehicles ‒ 25 554 (+2);
  • special equipment ‒ 4 835 (+2);
  • vehicles and fuel tanks ‒ 163 883 (+329);
  • unmanned ground vehicles ‒ 2 962 (+4).

Artillery and air defense assets:

  • artillery systems ‒ 51 266 (+24);
  • MLRS ‒ 2 221 (+4);
  • air defense assets ‒ 1 710 (+2).

Air targets:

  • aircraft ‒ 449;
  • helicopters ‒ 356;
  • UAVs (operational-tactical level) ‒ 566 986 (+1 396);
  • cruise missiles ‒ 5 130.

Naval assets:

  • warships and boats ‒ 35;
  • submarines ‒ 2.
