Through Reserve+, 100,000 Ukrainians have renewed and obtained exemptions from mobilization – Kateryna Chernohorenko
Last Saturday, the Reserve+ app launched a service that enables users to apply for a mobilization exemption online. The initial version is available for students, postgraduate and doctoral candidates, and individuals with disabilities who hold a valid disability pension certificate. Within the first few days, users generated 100,000 exemptions.
"This figure shows that the online exemption service is essential and beneficial for all parties involved in this process. It saves Ukrainians time by avoiding long lines and waiting for final outcomes. It also eases the workload on territorial enlistment offices, which are relieved of a large portion of tedious paperwork," noted Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization.
Kateryna Chernohorenko added that most of the exemptions processed were renewals of previous ones:
"People with lawful grounds for exemption can finally receive it in less than three months. Automation removes the human factor and potential manipulation, ensuring greater speed and transparency. Most importantly, it reduces the risk of corruption."
The Ministry of Defense continues working to expand online exemptions to all eligible individuals. The next group to gain online access to exemptions will be parents with multiple children.
