The United Kingdom is allocating £2 billion in military aid to Ukraine

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has endorsed a draft law enabling the receipt of £2 billion under the Framework Agreement signed with the Government of the United Kingdom on July 19, 2024, in London.

The funding will be allocated to enhance air defense capabilities, as well as to repair and manufacture modern weaponry and military equipment.

“We are grateful to the United Kingdom for this crucial support. Thanks to it, Ukraine will receive essential weapons in the near future to protect our skies and our country,” emphasized Ukraine’s Defence Minister Rustem Umerov.

To ensure transparency and effective use of the funds, a joint commission composed of representatives from both governments will be established to oversee the proper allocation and utilization of the loan.
