The state has regained ownership of defense lands in the Kyiv region that were illegally privatized

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, annulled the illegal registration of a private land parcel on the territory of an operational military unit in the Kyiv region.

The aforementioned illegal registration posed a risk to the unit's operational effectiveness, jeopardizing its normal functioning and its duties' performance. The Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Justice reestablished the state's ownership of the land parcel. As a result, the military unit could recommence its full duty obligations.

The Ministry of Defence's Main Directorate for Defence Land and Funds underscored the strategic significance of such areas. This Directorate is committed to protecting the state's interests by closely monitoring and appealing against illegal decisions made by state registrars and notaries.

This particular case demonstrates the importance of vigilance and rapid response to attempts to illegally seize defense lands, especially in times of war when every military facility is critical to the defense of the country.
