The Reserve+ app now allows individuals with disabilities registered in the Unified Social Services Information System to apply for deferment

The Reserve+ application now enables deferment requests for persons with disabilities whose data is registered in the Unified Social Services Information System (USSIS). Previously, only individuals with disabilities whose data was registered in the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) and who held a corresponding pension certificate were eligible to apply for an online deferral.

“Deferment requests through Reserve+ for individuals with disabilities have been among the most frequently requested features by users. We are working to ensure that all categories of deferments are accessible within the application, allowing users to obtain them without waiting in queues or completing paperwork,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.

To apply for a deferment, users must access the main screen of the Reserve+ application, tap the three-dot menu, select the “Request a Deferment” option, and choose the appropriate category. A notification with the result will be provided subsequently. If the user’s data is not recorded in the registry, they should contact their local Department of Social Protection and submit their original disability certificate and proof of identity.

To recap, deferment requests through the Reserve+ app were initially introduced in the autumn of last year for three categories: individuals with disabilities holding a PFU pension certificate; students, postgraduates, and doctoral students; and parents with three or more children under 18 years of age in a joint marriage.

The amendments were implemented by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence of Germany, alongside the Better Regulation Delivery Office (BRDO), and with the support of the European Union under the DT4UA project, executed by the Estonian e-Governance Academy.
