The Ministry of Defence has allocated nearly UAH 140 million to improve the nutrition of service members during their medical treatment

The Procurement Policy Department of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has allocated UAH 139.6 million in 2025 to provide enhanced nutrition for service members undergoing treatment in medical facilities.
This funding is intended to support nutrition programs based on standards used in military medical institutions, taking into account the specific dietary needs of wounded and ill service members recovering in hospitals, regardless of their administrative jurisdiction.
“Overall, more than UAH 634 million has been allocated for this initiative in 2025. We are committed to ensuring that wounded service members receive proper nutrition, regardless of the medical facility where they are recovering,” emphasized Glib Kanievskyi, Director of the Procurement Policy Department of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defence will continue to implement measures to improve the treatment and recovery conditions for Ukrainian service members.
