The Nordic-Baltic Eight nations have announced new assistance packages for Ukraine

Ukraine's Defence Minister Rustem Umerov participated in the Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) meeting, where the defense ministers of Norway, Iceland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania outlined new initiatives to support Ukraine.
As a result of the meeting, the participating countries reaffirmed their long-term strategic commitments:

The funds will be allocated to enhancing maritime and air defense capabilities, as well as to training military personnel within the Nordic-Baltic Brigade. Additionally, investments in Ukraine's defense industry are planned.
- Lithuania is actively working on bolstering Ukraine's air defense system, making investments in the defense industry, and contributing to the ‘Czech Initiative.’ The supply of artillery shells remains a priority.
- Latvia is focused on equipping units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, supplying shells, and cooperating in the defense industry.
- Iceland is involved in investing in Ukraine's defense industry through the 'Danish model' and assisting in the training of the Nordic-Baltic Brigade.
- Finland is working on delivering artillery shells and developing a new military aid package.
- Estonia is preparing new shell deliveries and is ready to contribute to the training of the Nordic-Baltic Brigade.
- Denmark is considering increased investments in the Ukrainian defense industry.
“The Nordic and Baltic countries remain among our most committed allies. They are not only increasing military aid but also actively supporting the development of our defense industry,” Rustem Umerov emphasized.
