The New Recruitment Center of the Ukrainian Army was established in Zhytomyr Oblast, marking the region's first such facility

На Житомирщині відкрився перший центр рекрутингу української армії

The first Recruitment Center of the Ukrainian Army in Zhytomyr Oblast has begun operating in the city of Korosten.

Henceforth, individuals can find all essential information and, if desired, enlist. The Center is located at the following address: Korosten, Shevchenko Street, 5.

“This is already the 46th Recruitment Center for the Ukrainian Army, operating on the premises of Administrative Services Centers (ASCs), which we have opened this year. The network of these centers is actively expanding and now covers nearly the entire country. Tens of thousands of inquiries to the centers confirm that the Ministry of Defence has adopted the correct approach to engaging citizens in the Defence Forces— an approach that places emphasis on the individual, their professional skills, and personal aspirations,” stated Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Brigadier General of Justice Serhii Melnyk.

Residents of the territorial community can also access consultations via phone: +38 (050) 504 3526. The Ukrainian Army Recruitment Center's operating hours are from 08:00 to 16:00 on Monday through Friday and from 08:00 to 15:00 on Saturday.

“The establishment of the Recruitment Center at the ASC is a great example of effective collaboration between the city council and the Ministry of Defence. The Korosten territorial community will provide maximum support to the Center, as the backing of the Armed Forces remains our top priority,” emphasized Volodymyr Moskalenko, the Mayor of Korosten.

At the Ukrainian Army’s Recruitment Center, individuals can select a position in the Defence Forces, considering their civilian profession and personal preferences. The recruitment procedure may extend from a few days to up to two months.

The Center can be contacted anonymously, without revealing personal information. Moreover, individuals who have already received call-up papers for data clarification can still enlist in the Defence Forces through Recruitment Centers. Currently, there are over 10,000 vacancies available in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and various police units.

“Our recruiters, who have undergone specialized training, have access to an up-to-date database of vacancies and direct contact with military units. They will assist in finding the most suitable position and guide the candidates through all stages—starting from the initial consultation to the commencement of military service. We have created the most comfortable and secure conditions: individuals can either call or visit the center in person— we are open to dialogue and ready to answer all questions,” said Oleksii Bezhevets, recruitment officer for the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence.

So far, over 31,000 citizens have reached out to the network of Ukrainian Army Recruitment Centers. Out of these, 7,000 have become candidates, and thousands have already joined the units they chose.
