The new Acting Head of the Health Department of the Ministry of Defence has joined the Coordination Center for Medical Services of the Security and Defense Forces

The Acting Head of the Health Department of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Major of the Medical Service Dmytro Samofalov, has joined the Coordination Center for organizing the activities of the medical services of the Security and Defence Forces, as well as of healthcare bodies and institutions.
This decision was made during a regular meeting of the Coordination Center, which includes representatives from the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Health, the Medical Forces of the AFU, and medical services of various branches and components of the Defence Forces.
The Coordination Center members also approved a decision to dismiss Oksana Sukhorukova from her role as head of the Health Department of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
During the meeting, Dmytro Samofalov affirmed that all projects prepared and implemented by the Health Department would continue.
He emphasized that the development of tactical pre-hospital medical care remains one of the key priorities.
“Initiatives related to saving the lives of service members are a top priority and must be implemented as swiftly as possible,” stated the Acting Head of the Department.
Ministry of Defence representatives informed the Coordination Center of the preparation of a ministerial order to align departmental documents with new legislation on the development of tactical prehospital care.
Additionally, meeting participants discussed the implementation of Electronic Primary Medical Records (ePMR), which will replace the outdated ‘Form 100’ for record-keeping documentation of medical care provided to service members.
