The Ministry of Defense Procurement Agency, DOT, saved UAH 16.7 billion in state funds from January to October 2024

In the ten months of 2024, the MoD’s State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT) saved UAH 16.7 billion on acquisitions of logistical assets. Specifically, UAH 7 billion was saved on food supply contracts, UAH 6 billion on fuel, and UAH 3.7 billion on clothing and equipment.

This result was made possible by high competition in tenders conducted by DOT through the Prozorro system. The average number of participants in these tenders was 4.2 potential contractors. In particular, the number of participants in clothing and equipment procurement reached 5.4, in food supply – 3.7, and in fuel and lubricants – 2.3.

“Our priority is maximum transparency and efficiency in procurement. High competition in tenders allowed us to secure the best offers, leading to significant budget savings. For example, DOT engaged 45 new suppliers of clothing and equipment. We will continue to improve procurement processes to ensure our military personnel are provided with everything they need on the best terms,” noted Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continues to work on enhancing transparency and efficiency in procurement to ensure that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are fully equipped for the successful execution of their missions.
