The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has proposed that Sweden and Finland support the Ukrainian defense industry based on the "Danish model"

This approach involves direct financing of manufacturers. Deputy Minister of Defense for European Integration, Sergiy Boyev, held discussions with the heads of defense policy from the Ministries of Denmark, Kasper Høeg-Jensen; Sweden, Victoria Hjort Malmer; and Finland, Janne Kuusela.

"There are already successful examples of investment in the Ukrainian defense industry, as seen with Denmark. We urge other partners to support our defense sector. Building our own capabilities will help Ukraine feel more secure," Sergiy Boyev told the partners.

Earlier, Denmark invested in the production of 18 Bohdana self-propelled howitzers, which have already been deployed in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the time, Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen expressed hope that more countries would adopt the "Danish model" of procurement in Ukraine.

A meeting of Nordic and Baltic defense ministers will be held in Copenhagen soon, where they will discuss, among other things, support for Ukraine.
