The Ministry of Defense has extended the procurement periods for farm products starting from 2025.

From 2025, the Armed Forces will increase the purchase of farm products, which are typically known for their high quality and more affordable prices. The military will receive more fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, such as zucchini, tomatoes, potatoes, cabbage, apples, and more.

This became possible after the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine extended the procurement periods for these products.

"We are adapting our procurement processes to wartime conditions. The new requirements for purchasing fresh farm products will allow us to supply the army with better quality and healthier food," emphasized Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine, Dmytro Klimenkov.

These changes are reflected in the updated "Periods of Supply and Packaging of Products in the Food Products Catalog."

The Ministry of Defense's Non-Lethal Acquisition Agency is expected to start applying the updated rules at the beginning of 2025.
