The Ministry of Defense approved the universal machine gun for use in the Armed Forces
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified the universal SAR 762 MT machine gun, chambered for NATO's 7.62 x 51mm. It can be mounted on special tripods at combat positions, in pillboxes, or on lightly armored vehicles.
The machine gun offers several technological advantages compared to the similar class “Pecheneg” general-purpose machine gun used by the aggressor state. Notably, it features a quick-change barrel that enables almost uninterrupted firing. Additionally, it features an adjustable gas valve that allows you to change the firing rate.
The weapon is designed with a durable body and barrel, making it effective in both extremely low temperatures and tropical climates.
