The Ministry of Defence will test new models of winter garments for women

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has initiated military (experimental) tests of new winter garments and undergarments designed for female service members based on anthropometric data.

These include: 

– winter wind and moisture-protective jackets and trousers,

– cold weather undergarments (shirt and long johns).

The Ministry of Defence is improving the supply of uniforms and gear for female military personnel by adapting the designs of clothing and protective equipment to better suit the anthropometric characteristics of women. We aim to develop new winter jackets and trousers, as well as demi-season and winter base layer underwear. We need to provide women with comfortable garments that meet their needs and enable them to perform combat and special missions more effectively,” said Deputy Defence Minister Dmytro Klimenkov.

The technical specifications established by the Ministry of Defence define the key criteria for these items. They can be found on the official digital portal "MoD Partner" in the section "Technical Specifications/Technical Conditions/Announcements" (hereinafter - "Technical Specifications of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine For Gear and Clothing item" - "Field uniform" and "Undergarments").

We suggest that interested manufacturing companies (suppliers) notify the Main Directorate of Logistics Support Development and the Command of the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by November 25, 2024, regarding their capability to produce and supply at least 11 sets of the aforementioned items for military (experimental) tests at no cost. Applications for participation in the tests must be submitted exclusively through the MoD Partner Portal (https://partner.mod.gov.ua/).
