The Ministry of Defence received a list of candidates for the positions of independent members of the Supervisory Board of the DOT
The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine continues the process of selecting candidates for positions of independent members of the Supervisory Board of the State Enterprise of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition (hereafter – DOT).
At this stage, the Ministry of Defence received a list of candidates from the recruiting company World Executive Partners (Heidrick & Struggles) (hereinafter – WEP) from seven countries. Nine candidates will be invited for interview. At the list, there are three citizens of Ukraine and applicants from the United Kingdom, Denmark, Lithuania, Norway, Turkey and the Czech Republic.
"Establishing the Supervisory Board is an important step forward on the way to ensuring transparency and accountability in procurement processes. We must build a corporate model of DOT management in accordance with the best practices of the member countries of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and NATO in order to adhere to the principles of fair competition and eliminate corruption risks. The Supervisory Board, with the participation of foreign specialists, must ensure the effective use of budget funds to strengthen the defence capabilities of our country," said the director of the Procurement Policy Department, Glib Kanievskyi.
At March 2024, the DOT and the Foundation for Expert Deployment for Governance and Economic Growth (EDGE) signed the Memorandum of Cooperation for the search and selection of candidates for the Supervisory Board.
Later on, DOT announced the tender on selecting of the recruiting company. WEP was the winner of this company, so WEP has selected candidates for the Supervisory Board.
