The Ministry of Defence procured trucks for the Armed Forces of Ukraine under state guarantees

In January 2025, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine delivered all-wheel drive trucks made by a Ukrainian manufacturer to combat brigades. They will be deployed in special and combat operations. This is the first batch of vehicles procured under one of the state-guaranteed contracts to deliver weapons and military equipment to the army.
“The state contract was concluded in December 2024. In January 2025, we received approximately 80 trucks with 4x4 and 6x6 wheel configurations. They can be used to transport personnel and military cargo,” said Glib Kanievskyi, Director of the Procurement Policy Department of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
The localization level of production for these vehicles in Ukraine exceeds 50%.
The program to enhance the country's defense and security, implemented by the Ministry of Defence in collaboration with the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and other ministries, positively impacts the development of the national economy and generates a multiplier effect. Thanks to the state budget and bank loans, it supports Ukrainian manufacturers and engages Ukrainian citizens in creating value-added products. Signing multi-year contracts provides Ukrainian businesses with the opportunity for long-term planning.
“In 2024, the Ministry of Defence focused on procuring non-lethal military equipment under state guarantees: armored vehicles and medevacs, special trucks, bath and laundry facilities, fuel tankers, and more. In 2025, our focus will be on procurement of strike assets to maximize the damage inflicted on the enemy,” emphasized Glib Kanievskyi.
