The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has signed a memorandum with the manufacturer of IRIS-T

During a visit to Germany, Ukraine's Defence Minister Rustem Umerov signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Diehl Defence, the IRIS-T air defense system manufacturer.

The agreement paves the way for joint industrial projects that will enhance the capabilities of Ukraine's air defense. The Memorandum also anticipates a threefold increase in the supply of missiles and air defense systems.

“I thank Diehl Defence for their trust and willingness to cooperate. It is important that leading global defense companies are taking steps toward Ukraine. The free world stands with us, and together we are creating new opportunities to strengthen our defense,” Rustem Umerov emphasized.

Protecting Ukraine’s airspace and localities continues to be a priority for the Ministry of Defence. The IRIS-T systems have already demonstrated their effectiveness as a crucial part of Ukraine's air defense shield.
