The Ministry of Defence is implementing a new quality control system for the Food Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine continues to enhance the supply system for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and is implementing a new quality control mechanism for the AFU's Food Service. The initiative, carried out by the Ministry of Defence's Main Department of Quality Control, encompasses a broad range of equipment and goods, from kitchen utensils to advanced technological and refrigeration systems. 

The new control system ensures a complete cycle of asset inspection at every stage of supply, from contract conclusion to the delivery of finished products to the military. 

“Quality control starts at the procurement stage and continues to final delivery, ensuring that all goods comply with the Ministry of Defence's technical requirements. This year, goods for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, estimated at approximately UAH 900 million, will be subject to control,” said Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Brigadier General of Justice Serhii Melnyk. 

An essential step in implementing this initiative is the standardization of technical requirements for equipment, including prep tables, electrical appliances, refrigeration units, production lines for manufacturing disposable tableware, and water bottling systems, among others. 

“Such measures minimize the risks of substandard goods and equipment being supplied to the Armed Forces and contribute to establishing a quality control system that complies with national and international standards,” said Ihor Leshchenko, Head of the Main Department of Quality Control.
