The Ministry of Defence is developing a new winter camouflage uniform for Special Forces

The Ministry of Defence continues to develop new gear and clothing items for the Armed Forces that meet contemporary standards. The technical specification draft for the new Type C winter camouflage suit has now been finalized.

The uniform is tailored for use in the field by Special Forces personnel during winter combat missions.

In designing the suit, the Main Directorate of Logistics Support Development based its decisions on the results of military (experimental) tests and incorporated feedback and suggestions from military personnel.

The new model incorporates advanced camouflage elements and structural solutions that enhance the suit's camouflage capabilities.

The suit’s flexible design offers maximum freedom of movement, conceals the body's contours, and can be used as outerwear.

Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Dmytro Klimenkov highlighted the significance of the new uniform: “We continue working on modernizing the gear and clothing supplies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Throughout 2024, the Ministry of Defence developed and approved 28 technical specifications for gear and clothing items, such as lightweight body armor and adaptive clothing for the wounded. The new winter camouflage suit marks another step toward creating modern gear and clothing that addresses the real needs of our service members in combat conditions. These efforts draw on our defenders' practical experience and are crucial in enhancing the country's defense capabilities”.
