The Ministry of Defence initiates discussions of the new Procedure for Codification of Supply Items

The draft Order “On Approval of Amendments to the Procedure for Codification of Supply Items” has been published on the official website of the Ministry of Defence. A draft was created to align the supply codification process with existing laws and NATO codification guidelines.

“The updated Procedure streamlines the codification process and reduces the complexity of the source data requirements. The purpose of this is to enhance the efficiency of managing the nomenclature of items for the Ukrainian Defence Forces,” said Colonel Volodymyr Rochniak, Head of the Main Department of Support for the Lifecycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.

Furthermore, the revised Procedure for Codification of Supply Items allows for the possibility to prepare and deliver source data for codification not only by the central supply service (logistics entity) but also by governmental customers, governmental customer services, and suppliers (in line with the contracts signed). Ultimately, this results in a shorter codification time.

Feedback and suggestions regarding the draft document can be sent to the State Regulatory Service of Ukraine within a month of its publication via email: [email protected] and by phone: +38 (044) 239-76-40

The MoD invites all interested parties to take part in the discussion of the draft Order “On Approval of Amendments to the Procedure for Codification of Supply Items.”
