At the initiative of the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi, a comprehensive inspection has been commenced within the Land Forces Command.

The Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, endorsed this proposal and directed the Main Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defence to implement the necessary measures.

“Victory demands a thorough analysis of experiences and an honest understanding of the challenges. This is particularly relevant for the Land Forces, the largest and most strategically significant branch of the Armed Forces, tasked with mobilization, training, staffing, and ensuring the effectiveness of combat units,” stated Ukraine's Defence Minister Rustem Umerov.

According to him, situations within the Land Forces directly impact the situations at the front. Therefore, having a comprehensive and impartial overview of the state of affairs is essential for the Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Specialists from the Main Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defence will thoroughly analyze the organizational structure and command authority, assess the effectiveness of management processes, and verify compliance with applicable legislation.

“Based on the results of the inspection, changes will be implemented in the command structure and personnel policy within the Land Forces Command, management processes will be optimized, and the combat readiness of units will be enhanced with new approaches to training,” said Viktor Romaniuk, Deputy Inspector General of the Main Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

The comprehensive inspection aims to enhance management efficiency, ensure transparency in processes, and strengthen the capabilities of the largest branch of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
