The Ministry of Defence has codified a personal mine clearance kit

MoD codified an individualized kit for detecting, marking, and clearing mines. This product is manufactured by a Ukrainian company using domestically made components.

Each kit contains more than ten items needed by a service member during tasks on detecting and marking explosives. These include compact dielectric sapper probe, reusable grapnel for trip wire dragging, paracord, pinning sets for fuzes and detonators, phosphor lights for nighttime marking, and more. The developers considered that military personnel must operate in extremely tough conditions, across diverse terrains, and deal with sapper traps set by enemies during mining operations.

When creating the mine clearance kit, local developers integrated the experience of foreign partners and the unique knowledge acquired by Ukrainian defenders during the repulsion of the large-scale russian invasion. By examining kits from other military forces worldwide, developers designed a customized kit for the Ukrainian military that met their specific needs.

The manufacturer supplied several hundred of these kits at no cost for use in the Armed Forces, and they are already in use.

Manufacturers and designers of weapons and military equipment are encouraged to contact the Main Department of Support for the Lifecycle of Weapons and Military Equipment via email for further inquiries regarding the codification process: [email protected]564420b18c598fd66f094a4f1c81ce03aba0cf5f.jpga0fcd87f7db523d3378a0000fa4857be24fe4b28.jpg
