The Government has regulated several procedures governing military registration and the conscription of citizens during mobilization

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has regulated and specified certain procedures for military registration and the conscription of citizens for military service during mobilization.

The Government approved these new provisions by adopting today the Resolution ‘On Amendments to Certain Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Concerning Specific Issues of Military Registration and Conscription of Citizens during Mobilization.’

“In particular, the adopted resolution sets forth:

  • automatic inclusion of women with medical education in the military register without their personal appearance;
  • serving call-up notices by registered mail with an itemized list of enclosures and proof of delivery to the residential address;
  • the conferment of the military rank of ‘reserve soldier (sailor)’ simultaneously with the military registration of persons who have reached the age of 25 and have not undergone military service or basic general military training, without requiring their appearance at the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center;
  • the formation of nominal rosters using the ‘Oberih’ system to organize the dispatch of groups during conscription for military service.
