The electronic document in Reserve+ becomes the primary military registration document for individuals liable for military service
The Government has updated the procedure for issuing military registration documents, which will henceforth be generated solely in electronic format.
Accordingly, Reserve ID becomes the primary military registration document for conscripts, individuals liable for military service, and reservists. The document can be obtained directly in the Reserve+ app.
For citizens who may not always be able to use the electronic document, a paper version is available. It can be:
- printed by downloading the PDF from Reserve+ or the Diia portal, or
- obtained at an enlistment office, where the document will be generated electronically and provided as a printout.
“‘Transitioning to an electronic format minimizes the risk of the document being lost, damaged, or forged,’ noted Oksana Ferchuk, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development, Digital Transformation, and Digitalization.
The implemented changes form part of the broader effort to develop a modern, transparent military registration system that aligns with the needs of the defense sector and enhances the efficiency of defense processes in Ukraine.
To enable the implementation of this update, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted amendments to Resolutions No. 1487 and No. 559, which govern the military registration process and the procedures for issuing military registration documents.
