Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine for European Integration, Oleksandr Balanutsa, headed the delegation of the Ministry of Defence in talks with the newly appointed Chief of the Defense Cooperation Office of the U.S. European Command, Colonel Shawn Kyle, and his team.

«I am pleased to welcome you to your new position and personally to Ukraine. I’m sure that our cooperation will help structure and expand U.S. assistance in the field of defense cooperation», – said Deputy Minister Oleksandr Balanutsa.

Representatives of the relevant departments of the Ministry of Defence, as part of the Ukrainian delegation, discussed with the American side the key details of expanding targeted U.S. assistance and the current state of ongoing cooperation projects.

«I am here in Ukraine to help and direct American assistance in the right direction. My team is ready to work with you for fruitful cooperation to quickly resolve all urgent issues», – assured Colonel Shawn Kyle.

The parties discussed specific steps to strengthen cooperation. The Ministry of Defenсe delegation received practical advice on how to formulate requests for American assistance.
