The Cabinet of Ministers supported a bill to postpone the disclosure of service members’ declarations
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has supported a bill introducing amendments to current legislation on access to the declarations of service members and other persons directly defending the state.
The document will allow postponing the opening of public access to such declarations for one year after the end of martial law. Currently, the law provides for access to be opened the day following its cancellation.
Implementing this amendment will help prevent the disclosure of information that may pose risks to service members and their families, including:
- information about family members;
- places of residence.
The purpose of the bill is to prevent the identification of service members by the adversary, as well as to enhance the safety of Ukraine’s defenders and their relatives.
