The award procedure for service members will take from 8 to 16 days
Pursuant to the decision of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has developed measures to improve the procedure for preparing and submitting nomination documents to recognize service members with state awards for combat merit.
Previously, this procedure took from 3 to 8 months, as the submission had to pass through multiple levels of command and approvals. Part of the documentation was handwritten.
The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has developed a new algorithm to accelerate and optimize the process. A military unit will send award materials to the military command authority to which it is subordinate. From there, they will be sent directly for consideration to the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In both instances, the documents must be reviewed within no more than two days. They will then be transferred to the Office of the President. This procedure will take from 8 to 16 days.
Separately, the possibility of displaying a certificate of a state award in the Diia app is being explored. These proposals will be submitted to the bodies authorized to implement the relevant changes.
