The Army+ app is hosting a survey on the election of the new Head of the National Army Academy

“Every service member using Army+ can contribute ideas to enhance the Academy and support one of the five experienced candidates for its head position. The survey results will serve as a critical guide for systemic reforms in Ukraine’s key military education institution,” said Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.

List of candidates:

  • Colonel Oleksandr Bakulin, Commander of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Kish otaman Kost Hordiienko;

The Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Brigadier General of Justice Serhii Melnyk emphasized that this survey will provide an opportunity to make the Academy even stronger and more effective.

“The Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy prepares the best officers for our Armed Forces. During my recent visit to Lviv, I had a chance to converse with the Academy cadets. They are motivated young individuals who aspire to learn and expect their mentors to uphold the highest standards. Therefore, it is crucial that the new Head of the Academy is a genuine leader who will lead by example, inspiring future commanders and instilling the values to help us achieve victory,” stressed Serhii Melnyk.

“Digitalization not only simplifies military service but also allows individuals to become actively involved in real changes within the military. Today, every service member with access to Army+ has the opportunity to use their vote to shape the outcome of the critical decision regarding the Head of the National Army Academy. Our future defenders deserve not only convenient and effective military service in the future but also quality education and a respectful attitude today,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.

To recap, the survey feature in the Army+ app was launched on August 8, 2024. Over this period, eight surveys were conducted, receiving more than 120,000 responses from participants.
