Tetra Tech handed over another batch of demining equipment to the State Special Transport Service

The State Special Transport Service (SSTS) received another batch of specialized equipment for demining from the American company Tetra Tech. This was made possible by the "Support to Ukraine in the destruction of conventional weapons" project.

The batch includes:

- 4 platforms GCS-100 demining remote-controlled platforms

- mobile platform maintenance stations

- trucks, trailers and cranes for transporting machines over the terrain

In addition, the SSTS received four armored excavators, vehicles and personal protective equipment.

"The equipment we are receiving will significantly strengthen the capabilities of the State Service of Special Transport to carry out demining operations. To date, TetraTech has already delivered more than $1 million worth of equipment and special machinery. In addition to the technical equipment of specialized divisions, the company is actively engaged in the training of sappers. The training center has currently trained over six hundred specialists who have obtained international certification. the machinery and equipment you transfer today will be in professional, capable and well-trained hands. As a result, our ability to conduct demining operations will be substantially enhanced," said Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Dzhygyr.

The head of the SSTS Administration, Brigadier General Oleksandr Yakovets, emphasized that thanks to the equipment from the USA, Canada and the company Tetra Tech, the SSTS demining teams continue to work to save the lives of Ukrainian citizens, in particular children.

"The SSTS demining teams, with the help of equipment provided by the USA, Canada and the Tetra Tech company separately, carry out the task of saving the lives of every Ukrainian, because the civilian population, in particular, children, are often the victims of explosive objects in Ukraine," Oleksandr Yakovets said.

Since the beginning of the large-scale aggression of the russian federation, the SSTS units have inspected over 115,000 hectares of territory and neutralized over 178,000 explosive objects.
