Ten Ministry of Defence’s medical facilities were modernized to create a barrier-free space for service members
The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine is actively implementing a barrier-free policy to ensure equal access to medical services for all military personnel.
One of the key priorities of this initiative is the modernization of the Ministry of Defence's medical facilities. As part of these efforts, ten medical facilities across nine cities in Ukraine were modernized last year. The scope of the work involved modernizing medical buildings, establishing barrier-free spaces, installing advanced lift systems, and more.
“We are committed to ensuring that every service member who seeks help at the Ministry of Defence’s establishments receives support in a comfortable environment. It's not just about accessibility; it's about dignity, equal opportunities, and respect for our defenders,” said Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Brigadier General of Justice Serhii Melnyk.
Implementing the barrier-free policy is one of the strategic priorities for the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. This initiative will contribute to enhancing the quality of medical services for military personnel.
