Stanislav Haider: The Ministry of Defence has developed a novel system for managing data effectively
Moving forward, the Ministry of Defence will harmonize the flow of information related to mobilization activities, fortification projects, and about 20 other categories.
To this end, MoD has formulated a Data Management Concept that includes guidelines for information storage formats and designates managers to supervise these tasks.
“The Ministry of Defence generates and manages large amounts of information on a daily basis, which requires a new approach to working with it. The Concept gave the green light to create an integrated, secure, and efficient data management system. I am certain that the new data management system will enable us to operate more efficiently when dealing with vast amounts of information. Utilizing such an automation approach will assist in fulfilling the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Defense and improving the country’s defense capabilities,” noted Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Stanislav Haider.
The MoD has set the following objectives:
- To concile and integrate various data sources;
- To ensure the reliability and quality of data sources;
- To implement advanced analytical tools for analysis and forecasting.
The document was prepared following several months of testing the new data management system. The Concept encompasses a shift from manual data processing to utilizing decision support systems with artificial intelligence features.
