Stand for justice and country: Enroll at the Military Law Institute

The 2025 admission campaign to higher military educational institutions is underway. The Military Law Institute of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University invites students who seek to combine a legal profession with military service in defense of the state.
Graduates of the Institute are commissioned as officers and serve in the military legal services within the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the State Special Transport Service, the National Guard, and the State Border Guard Service.
Distinctive aspects of education at the Institute:
The educational process at the Military Law Institute integrates legal education with military training, enabling cadets to acquire practical skills — from marksmanship training to operating tactical-level unmanned aerial systems.
Cadets study military, criminal, administrative, and international humanitarian law, and complete professional military education courses L-1A and L-1B. Significant emphasis is placed on building practical skills in working with legislative acts and drafting procedural documents.
“Education at the Institute fosters not only profound knowledge but also strong character. “We are training a new generation of military lawyers who not only possess legal knowledge, but also are ready to uphold the law amid the realities of martial law. These are specialists who serve the law, the army, and Ukraine every day,” said Colonel Oleksandr Babarytskyi, Head of the Military Law Institute.
The Institute collaborates with leading legal establishments, national educational institutions, and international organizations. Cadets participate in academic conferences, internships, and law-related competitions.
How to apply to the Institute:
Applicants must be Ukrainian citizens aged 17 to 30 with a general secondary education. Applications can be submitted through the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers (enlistment offices) or directly to the Selection Committee of the Military Law Institute.
Applications are accepted until July 1.
Admission is based on the results of a competitive selection process and entrance exams, including professional psychological screening, assessment of physical fitness, and a medical examination.
